Book Festival
Date and Period :
November 2nd to 11th, 2007
Venue :
Opp. Baby Memorial Hospital, Mavoor road, Calicut
Cultural Programmes :
Educative and enlightening cultural programmes would be organized all days.
The Calicut Literary Festival is an initiative by the Institute of Languages, Kerala State, as a unique way to emphasize the meaning and delight of reading and listening to written words, all the more at a time when it is being propagated that books go down in the present day preferences of life. Organized as part of the Calicut International Book Fair from November 1 to 10, the Festival aims at providing the general public with opportunities to interact with authors of national as well as international repute. Notwithstanding the shortcomings of a beginning, we are able to present some of the best writers and poets from India and abroad.
